Elan Dassani

Elan Dassani is a writer and director, known for grounded, elevated, genre, and dramatic stories. Elan’s breakout came when his sci-fi film “Seam”, becoming a viral hit on Gunpowder and Sky’s Dust platform, leading to his series “Jinn” being bought by Netflix. “Jinn” was Netflix’s first Arabic original, on which Elan served as creator and showrunner and shot entirely in Jordan.

He then directed his first studio film, the supernatural thriller “Evil Eye”, for Amazon and Blumhouse and executive produced by Priyanka Chopra-Jonas, starring Sarita Chadhoury and Sunita Mani. He has series and feature projects in development with Justin Lin’s Perfect Storm, Blumhouse, Huffington Post, Buzzfeed, among others.

He’s also served as an international unit director and producer on series including “Star Trek Discovery” and “Agents of Shield”, and VFX producer on films and series including “Scandal” and “Revolution.

He recently produced the UK Unit for Tyler Perry’s upcoming epic WWII drama, “The 6888”, and splinter units for MAX, including for their series "More" and "Rap Sh!t".

He’s represented by CAA, Magnolia Entertainment, and Hirsch-Wallerstein.
